Rescue bird sanctuary that conducts tours. Open since 1975. It houses birds from all over the world, from emus to parakeets, and is a safe haven for some of New York's pigeon population.

Directions:
From Petersburg (not Petersburgh) drive west on NY-2 for about two miles. Turn north onto (unpaved) Avery Hill Rd. Drive until it ends, then turn left onto Stillman Village Rd. Drive 1.5 miles. You'll see the Sanctuary on the left.

Berkshires Bird Paradise is a privately owned bird sanctuary that conducts tours. It houses birds from all over the world, and is a safe haven for some of New York's pigeon population in need of a new home.

The Dubacher family has been rescuing and housing birds, from eagle and emus to parakeets, on this 20-acre property, since 1975.
