Friendly's Ice Cream, History at Springfield Museums
A museum that is part of the Springfield Museums has a focus on national and local history -- including national businesses that started in Springfield, such as Springfield Rifles, Friendly's ice cream, Y Mart, and Hasbro.
It has exhibits on everything from the Civil War to turn-of-the-century fire stations, a toy collection, and a motorcycle area featuring dozens of antique bikes. When I was there they had a comic book exhibit.
