The Former 666 sign has been replaced. It's right past McDonald's, in front of Pep Boys.

When my boyfriend and I drove through here we spent nearly an hour driving around and could not find this sign. Maybe we're especially directionally challenged, but it's also possible the sign's been stolen again.

There were no signs that we found driving 10 miles down and back from Hwy 40. There may be some farther, but it's not a quick find and photo op.

It's possible they have disappeared over time... 666 signs have always been popular souvenirs for those seeking an express lane to Hell.

This is where the original Route 666 was. This was the 6th branch off of route 66 making it 666. It was renamed in 2008, but the "former 666" signs are still there.

I-40 exit 20, then drive north a quarter-mile. The sign is attached to a light pole on the northbound side, just past the McDonald's.
