The ruins include recreations of a barracks, Rec Hall, water tower, and guard tower, but mostly 600 acres of weeds, cement slabs, and informational signs.

From Granada drive west one mile on US-50, then turn left (south) at the brown Camp Amache sign and drive a half-mile to the site.

Camp Amache: WWII Japanese Internment Camp

600-acre internment camp where over 7,000 Japanese-Americans were held during World War II. Includes recreations of a barracks, Rec Hall, water tower, and guard tower. Be sure to download the audio tour to your phone ahead of time. There is also a museum in town, at 109 E. Goff Ave.
