Directions:
Lighthouse Park. From US-90/Denny Ave., just east of the East Pascagoula River bridge, turn north at the stoplight onto Pascagoula St., then make an immediate left onto Laurel Ave. Drive to the stop sign, turn left, go under the overpass, then immediately turn right. Up ahead you'll see a gravel parking lot. Park, then walk to the gazebo by the river. The plaque is there.

UFO Abduction Site

A plaque commemorates the alleged 1973 abduction of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker aboard a flying saucer while they were fishing on the Pascagoula River.

According to the plaque, the two men were "examined by a robotic eye" aboard the alien craft (no probing). It calls the encounter, "the best documented case of alien abduction."
