Fort Defiance State Park. On the southernmost tip of Illinois. I-57 exit 1, then drive southeast on US-51 for five miles. US-51 turns left, but stay straight to the Park entrance, a hundred yards further, also on on the left.

Daily 9-dusk.Gated after hours.
