Milbank, South Dakota: The Monolith
Installed by "Geographer-at-Large" Eames Demetrios, who claims to have discovered the existence of parallel universes. Fairly large for such an incomprehensible monument. Despite its name, it's not a monolith.

The Monolith
On the grounds of the Hollands Windmill in Milbank is a trapezoidal cement monument named "The Monolith" with a 400-word essay written by "Geographer-at-Large" Eames Demetrios. He claims to have discovered the existence of parallel universes that co-exist to some degree with ours. Unlike the three linear dimensions that we perceive, the universes have an almost infinite number of dimensions -- infinity minus 29 to be precise, each with its own stories, creatures, rules, and laws of physics. The Monolith is one of 142.5 such installations around the world (Well, 142 -- the .5 is the one that's being prepared for installation on the moon).
