The Heritage Center museum has a shocking number of items, well-organized, throughout multiple buildings. You can visit a historic house and schoolhouse. The main room is divided into sections and include activities for kids to play, including an archeology dig in the dinosaur area and a Native American teepee. You can spend hours viewing all of the historic things and learning about the county as well as history in general. They run on donations and have wonderful volunteers who are eager to talk.
