Frankenstein's Tower (Haunted)
Built in the 1940s as a youth group project. Earned its ghastly name when it was sealed permanently in 1967, after a bolt of lightning killed a teenage girl who had snuck in with a companion. The girl, Peggy Ann Harmeson, is buried in a nearby cemetery. The companion survived, with severe burns.
The Tower is on the grounds of Hills and Dales Park and very visible from Patterson Road as you head toward the parking lot, but only accessible by trail from the back. Stories abound, of Peggy and other apparitions glimpsed through the narrow windows, or a ghostly silhouette of Peggy seared into the stone.
