John Dillinger's First Bank Robbery
On June 10, 1933, John Dillinger kicked off his career as a notorious criminal by robbing the First National Bank of New Carlisle, Ohio. A plaque on the side of the building marks the occasion and vestiges of the old bank remain (a night deposit box, etc.) The bank has since become a candle shop. Easy side-of-the-road parking for photo ops.
