Playground of Frank Phillips (of Phillips 66 gas stations) - free range herds of bison and longhorn among more enclosed exotics. Museum of Oklahoma and Native American Art.
[Jennifer G, 06/07/2016]Woolaroc is a huge place that was built by Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum. It gets its name from "Woo" (for woods), "La" (for lake), and "Roc" (for rocks). Phillips used this place for a weekend getaway, and after his death, it was turned into a museum. There is something for everyone here. In April, the petting zoo is open; there is an observation tower you can climb and enjoy the view for miles; the museum itself hosts one of the largest collections of western and Native American art in the U.S. Oh yeah, you can get a "buffalo burger" at the concession stand!
