A surprising amount of aircraft for a city museum, including a B-52 bomber (out front) and a rare F-104 Starfighter, basically a giant engine with tiny wings. Space artifacts, too.

- East side of the city. I-225 exit 9. Turn west onto CO-30/6th Ave. Drive four miles. At the third traffic circle bear right onto Rampart Way. Drive to the stop sign and turn right onto Academy Blvd. You'll quickly see the museum on the left; there's a giant airplane out front.

The museum displays a great collection of aircraft and space memorabilia inside an extremely large hangar. There are some interactive exhibits, and a couple flight simulators round it all out. Also, the ice cream stand next door has a rocket on it! Recommended for flight and history buffs.
