Waterloo, Illinois: Illinois Caverns
Illinois' only show cave was only open from 1901 to 1907. Now semi-wild, visitors must bring their own helmets and light sources. Reopened June 2021.

- Directions:
- From Waterloo drive south on Market St./IL-3 for three miles. Turn right onto Kaskaskia Rd, then a quick first left onto G Rd. Follow G Rd south 3.5 miles to the cave entrance, on the right.

- Th-Sa 8:30-2:30. Must stop and get a permit before entering the cave. (Call to verify)
