The Dye Ditch Gang: A Heritage Tribute

A "montage of caricature sculptures," reflecting Fort Payne's history as the "sock capital of the world," takes up a spot in a parking lot in the middle of town. It depicts the kids and characters attracted to the colorful dye runoff from the W.B. Davis Hosiery Mill.

Local artist Bobby Welch built this tribute to a locally admired sock factory drainage ditch in 2018.
