"Her Vacant Chair" refers to the legend of the haunted rocking chair at the Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton. The rocking chair memorial is for Pearl French. She was born August 21, 1878, and died on March 26, 1882. Visitors have claimed to see it move, or to have seen glowing lights near it at night.
