Plymouth, Washington: Walk-Thru Railroad Tunnel
An abandoned railroad tunnel has been replaced with a walking trail. Bring a headlamp; it's dark inside.

- Directions:
- I-82 exit 131. Drive west on WA-14 for about one mile. Turn left onto S. Plymouth Rd. Drive a half-mile. When the road bends right, turn left onto Engineers Rd (a dirt road). The road ends at a trail; follow that trail through a tunnel under the freeway and continue another few hundred feet to the railroad tunnel.

An old abandoned railroad tunnel goes through a hill. There are no more tracks, as they were moved further away from the river. It's not very long, less than a quarter-mile, but it curves and so it gets really dark and cold at one point. Super tall and echoey. It's also within sight of the McNary Dam.
