East Village Junk Tower

The East Village Tower of Toys was quite a sight. A curious assortment of teetering wood, junk and precariously placed toys. Sad to see it's gone.

The East Village Junk Tower on Ave. B has been demolished by the Park Service last week. The creator, Eddie Boros, died in 2007.

At 6th Street and Avenue B, there is a community garden with a tower made of old boards and plastic animals. It stands about 40-feet tall, and was easily the most interesting thing I saw on my trip to New York.
