The park has been preserved beautifully. The attention to detail makes Hartman Rock Garden a one of a kind place. On July 11, 2015 they will have all of the miniatures out. Be sure to ask for a guide if there is someone there, or print one online. Each statue has a story.

Hartman Rock Garden

We visited the Dayton/Springfield area as a family and this was indeed a gem! It almost needs to be named "sculpture garden" because it has probably over 100 sculptures of various sizes. Our family ranges from ages 6 and up and we all enjoyed visiting this attraction. The owner of the house came outside and told us about the rock garden as well. H

Hartman Rock Garden

Wonderfully authentic folk artist. Thanks to the Kohler Foundation, all of Hartman's work has been cataloged. Thanks to a local foundation, there is a curator on site caring for Hartman's extensive and imaginative collection.

It just makes you smile. It's like walking around in your crazy uncle's backyard.

Directions:
I-70 exit 54. Turn north onto OH-72. At the first stoplight turn left onto Leffel Lane. Drive one mile. At the stoplight turn right onto Yellow Springs St. Drive a half-mile. Turn left at the blue building onto McCain Ave. Drive three blocks. You'll see the Garden on the left.

Daily dawn-dusk. Local health policies may affect hours and access.
