Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Gates of Hell
The artist Rodin worked on this 21-by-13-foot bronze version of the damned in Hades from 1880 until his death in 1917. It was supposed to serve as the front door of a Paris museum, but it wound up in Philadelphia instead, at the entrance to the Rodin Museum.
