Wheeling, West Virginia: The Windmill
According to unverified local lore, the Windmill, along the old National Road, was built in 1917 as part of a gas station. It was restored as a pub in 2017, but closed and empty in 2021.

The Windmill Pub was reopened in 2017 with a repaired motor so that the blades would turn again. In 2021, with a tattered banner and broken "open" signs, it looks closed. But windmill buildings are always cool!
