- Rockwall County Historical Foundation. From Rockwall drive north on TX-205 for about two miles. Turn right at the stoplight onto W. Washington St. Drive three-quarters of a mile. On the left you'll see a small white building with an old windmill next to it. Turn left into the parking lot. The small wall section is behind the white building, next to the old well and windmill.

Some say that the wall, made of even, neatly stacked brick-like rock slabs -- is a natural formation. Others say it's proof of an ancient civilization. Known sections of the wall encompass 20 square miles!

There's a nice little history village here -- more to see than just the wall. The bit of wall is reconstructed, but the real wall isn't located in any public places, so this will have to suffice. The whole underground wall in the area is a pretty cool natural phenomenon to learn more about. This is a neat thing to see once you know the whole story.
