A patina-covered plaque from 1932 is attached to the exterior of the Second Congregational Church in Greenwich. It bears George Washingtons likeness in bas-relief, and notes that he paused on the nearby Post Road on October 16, 1789. The plaque touts his subsequent diary entry, in which the POTUS wrote, "The superb landscape which is to be seen from the meeting house is a rich regalia."
