Speculator, New York: Mini Route 66
John Jacob Van Buiten built 14 small buildings as a tribute to the Route 66 he recalled from his 1948 honeymoon. Seven moved here in 2016: a gas station, church, post office, general store, school, barbershop, and ice cream parlor. Olde Rt. 66 sans retro Rt. 66 worship.

- On the east side of NY-30, opposite the village's lakefront beach and park. Pull into the parking lot. You'll see a children's play area, and a small church behind it. The church is part of Mini Route 66.
