Treasure Coast Model Railroad
Treasure Coast Model railroad is comprised of three interconnected lines and over 13 scale miles of track, close to 100 turnouts, over a dozen control panels, and miles of wiring. The railroad depicts the transition era between steam and diesel power of U.S. railroads, from the 1940s to the 1970s. It is HO scale. There are two major freight yards, two city passenger stations, several industrial complexes, a freight harbor, a replica of what looks like Hoover Dam, a steel mill, a coal mine, three cities, several towns, lakes, mountains, and a desert. Many structures, signs, street lights, railroad crossings, and traffic lights are lit. The model railroad offers a scavenger hunt to kids to try to find fictional character figures (such as Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek) placed throughout the railroad.
