One of several similarly creepy giant spiders sculpted by the late Louise Bourgeois, all black, withered, wrinkly, and carrying a sac of marble eggs. Louise titled all of them Maman ("Mommy"). Because of their notoriety, people called Louise "Spiderwoman," although perhaps not to her face.
