Torrey Pines Gliderport
Perched atop 350-foot-high bluffs, the skies of the Gliderport are often filled with gliders soaring above the waves. Parking is free, and you get to be up close as you watch the pilots preparing their gear, launching off the bluff, soaring up and down the coast. If you are brave enough and have spending money, you can hire a pilot and go up for a tandem flight.
Another unique thing about this place is that right below it is Blacks Beach, San Diego's only swimsuit-optional beach!
