The 26th Annual International Cardboard Boat Race will be held on the mighty Ohio River on August 18, 2018. Typically over 70 boats are entered, some with crews of up to 10 members, with ages ranging from 7 to 78. Boats are constructed using only cardboard, duct tape, and paint.

New Richmond is often referred to as "America's Cardboard Boat Racing Capital" and is home to the world's only Cardboard Boat Museum.

This year we will host our 22nd annual International Cardboard Boat Regatta, held on the Ohio River in New Richmond, Ohio. Twenty minutes up river (east) of Cincinnati. We had 70 entries in 2013 and expect more this year.

August 19-21 2011: 3 day river town festival...continuous live music, events for kids and adults, car show, fireworks, and paddle wheeler dinner cruises. Saturday features the 19th Annual Cardboard Boat Race (50 boats competed in 2010. Boats are constructed using only cardboard, duct tape and paint, crew ages ranged from 7-72 years in single and multi crewed boats. There were 23 trophies for fabulous sinkings, creativity and speed events.
