The first floor has a gift shop and many displays, some interactive, with vintage sock monkeys all around. The museum part is upstairs ($6.00 for adults). So cute and there's lots of interesting information besides the sock monkeys. There is a "Sockumentary," with the history of sock monkeys. Then you can make your own sock monkeys! You can spend hours here.
[Sharon Rey, 02/08/2024]Visited on a birthday. Owner's passion for the craft and collection is off the charts. Museum tour well worth it. Git yer socks on!
[Chris Curtis, 12/30/2022]The detail and craftsmanship put into this offbeat museum is nothing short of astounding. The lady in charge is super-knowledgeable and passionate about her hobby and the history behind it. Even though this is a small museum, it's possible to spend an hour or two there. Don't skip the movie!

This is a great museum; small, but not so small that you can't spend some time there. The ground floor has a gift shop with stuffed monkeys small and large, and you can see hundreds of sock monkeys without paying an admission fee. If you do pay the fee, the owner takes you upstairs, where there is a full-size animatronic saber-toothed tiger! There are hundreds more sock monkeys upstairs, and a scavenger hunt for finding specific monkeys.
The museum is nicely set up; you can tell they put a lot of effort into making it welcoming and fun.

My collection of over 2,000 vintage Sock Monkeys is on display on two floors of our historic building. Learn the history of the Sock Monkey, and the socks that they are made from. Learn the history of socks, all the way back to the days of the cavemen. See the Sock Monkey Ferris Wheel. See Burrito, our seven-foot-tall fiberglass Sock Monkey, and our Barrels of Monkeys wall. Make a Sock Monkey of your own.
We hope to share our love of Sock Monkeys with everyone!
