Hays, Kansas: Boot Hill: Man with a Hat
According to the plaque at Boot Hill, it was the burial site of over 80 "murderers, horsethieves, and loose women." Above the plaque is a statue of an unidentified angry-looking man with a very large hat, mustache, and pants that are too long.

- North of downtown, in a residential neighborhood. From US-183 turn west at the stoplight (Taco Bell) onto E. 18th St. and drive a half-mile to the T intersection at Fort St. You'll see the Boot Hill statue on the right.

I should have gotten out and gotten closer, but it's neighborhood streets and I was pulling a 20-ft. trailer. Statue and plaque only, no headstones. In residential neighborhood.
