Borroum's Drug Store

You really need to order the slugburger. My two boys (who are fairly picky eaters) kept asking Dad for another bite. All of the ice cream offerings are delicious and huge! There is an amazing display of Civil War, Native American, and other artifacts all over the store.

Park anywhere on the street.

Borroum's claims to have been operated by the same family business since the end of Civil War, so it probably has accumulated a mountain of choice old things.

Mississippi's oldest drug store in continuous operation. Est. 1865 and it is still in the Borroum family. They have a working old soda fountain (circa 1930s), a great Indian artifact and civil war collection. Camille Borroum Mitchell, the pharmacist, is the great grand daughter of Dr. A.J. Borroum, who started the store when he came home from the civil war in 1865.
