Colvill, Minnesota: Years of Beach-Combing Collection

This is an enormous private collection of what must be years of beach combing along Lake Superior, displayed across a front yard along MN Highway 61 south of Grand Portage. It's like a sculpture garden.

One really must stop to wander the paved rock walkway that heads deeper into the artwork. Using driftwood and old junk, the creator has developed an image covering over an acre. One mistake here and you'll miss the little nuances, such as "Love Your Mother" and wildlife placed into the sculptures to make it appear normal.
