The castle-like Maribel Caves Hotel was built in 1900. Fires burned it, and a windstorm in 2013 reduced the building to a ruin.

- I-43 exit 164. Turn east, then a quick left onto County Rd R. Drive north one mile. You'll see the castle-like ruins on the right. Private property; visible from the road. The building is unstable, so don't go near it.

The ruins of a supposedly haunted hotel have been nicknamed "Hotel Hell" due to the many fires that broke out in it, as well as a portal to hell from an old water well! Private property, no admittance allowed. Can easily be seen from the roadway, or from a nearby park.
