Absolutely do not drive out to the sign; the sand is quick to suck you down. We had to be towed out, as did two others while we were there. The tow cost $200 for them to come out and then $200 to go back to their shop. And AAA does not cover this.
[Jana Montgomery, 11/11/2023]An incredible sign, such a sight to see, but beware of your car getting stuck in the sand and having to call a tow truck. Especially if you don't have AWD on your vehicle. Taking out air from your tires won't help at all. Once you're stuck, you're stuck -- but other than that, it's an incredible site.

[Karla, 09/05/2022]The big, upright silver Hollywood-sign-style letters were created in 2022 by artist Jack Pierson. He describes this patch of desert -- locally nicknamed Wonder Valley -- as "a place known for those who drop off the edge of civilization."
