Bedford was a stop on the Underground Railroad. At the far right end of the mural is Julius Caesar Tibbs, who hid in a tree in Bedford to successfully escape the slave catchers.

Painted in 2020 by Stina Aleah, Christa Freehands, and Davon Brantley. At the far right end of the mural is a depiction of Julius Caesar Tibbs, who hid in a tree in Bedford to successfully escape the slave catchers.
