The 1887 Miners' Hospital now houses the history of this rugged mining town. It has recreations of the professional offices of prominent citizens; a walk-through replica mine; a fluorescent mineral collection; Jim the Bear (owned by the town doctor); a replica of the famous Hope Diamond; and a Feejee Mermaid. The scary dentist and surgery rooms are especially popular with visitors.
