Historical marker honors the studio from which Dick Clark's American Bandstand show was televised, from 1956 until 1964. It then was moved to Los Angeles, where it was continually and nationally televised on the ABC network until 1989. The Philadelphia studio hosted literally hundreds of popular music artists who were involved in the early years of Rock and Roll.
