The building that he stood in front of was demolished, and none of the local residents I spoke with could tell me where the Muffler Man had been moved to.
[Dwight, 10/30/2020]This Indian is gone. The tattoo parlor is closed, looks abandoned. I didn't see it anywhere else in the town, but I didn't get off Paint Town Road to look for it.
[Dean Acquaviva, 05/27/2019]The Cherokee Visitor Center told us that the statue is currently in storage, but the tattoo parlor hopes to move and take the Muffler Man with it.
Still standing tall and proud even though he is being held hostage by a run-down Cherokee tattoo parlor. While you are there, take a picture of your kids riding the two fiberglass horses that evidently were once painted white.
