Bellingham, Washington: Man Humping Bear
Carved on-site in 1972 by artist Richard Beyer. He said that it showed a man getting drunk with a cougar, but everyone at Western Washington University calls it Man Humping Bear. Weather and time have made the sculpture less recognizable. It was quietly moved to a much-less-visible campus spot in early Sep. 2024.

It almost makes you wonder if the artist was intentionally creating something suggestive, hoping that people would be afraid to admit that they're seeing it. On my visit the statue was surrounded by yellow tape, which almost made it look like a crime scene (It was probably being moved to a freshly poured slab nearby).
