- Portofino Inn. From Hwy 1 turn west at the stoplight onto Beryl St. Follow it to the marina, past the Portofino gatehouse. Turn right at the stop sign onto Portofino Way. Drive past the parked cars to a small traffic circle; the monument is on its far side.

The Cannonball Run, a coast-to-coast outlaw car race started in 1971, has its finish line at the Portofino Inn in Redondo Beach. Scenes from the 1981 Burt Reynolds movie of the same name were filmed here. In 2022 a permanent monument was added in front of the hotel.
