Stopped in the gift shop and was met by none other than Gary himself, the creator of the Enchanted Highway. Very friendly guy, with many stories to tell. Wonderful gift shop, plus Gary directed us to his current creation just down the street at the Enchanted Castle Hotel. A knight fighting a dragon. Classic Roadside America and a must-see in western North Dakota.

My wife thought the Enchanted Highway's Tin Family was adorable. At the Enchanted Highway gift shop in Regent, we bought several items, including tiny little recreations of the Tin Family.
The wind sculptures weren't moving (maybe a work in process?) but looked great, and we could imagine how cool they'll be when operating.
[Dale & Virginia Divers, 09/29/2010]We saw the Enchanted Highway on Roadsideamerica and decided to drive it on our way to Yellowstone N.P. After arriving at Regent very late on a Saturday afternoon, we realized it is a small town and all the shops were closed. A man leaving the ice cream shop asked if we just came down the Enchanted Highway -- we told him we did and that we enjoyed it. He opened his shop back up, served us some ice cream, and we bought a few post cards. He talked with us for a while, and we realized he was the man backing the Enchanted Highway project. We were happy we drove it and we could not believe that everyone we passed on the road waved to us.
