Although the claim is disputed, this sign stakes Easton, Pennsylvania's, claim to be the birthplace of what is arguably the most popular Christmas tradition.

The blue spruce tree behind the sign was planted in 1987 by Easton's mayor to support the town's claim-to-fame.
