Humorist Will Rogers was born in Oologah in 1879. A miniature replica of his birthplace house was built in 1930, torched by arson, and rebuilt in 1985.

The miniature Rogers birthplace was built in 1985 by Jerry Gardner. It replaced a 1930 miniature birthplace that was destroyed by arson in 1992. Next to it stands a rock memorial to Rogers that was dedicated in 1936. Rogers died in 1935.
