Soulsby's Service Station

Built in 1926, Soulsby's Service Station pumped only Shell gasoline in its 65 years of business. Recently restored pumps stand outside, and inside is a free museum filled with memorabilia and petroleum artifacts from the station's past.

[Mike Gassmann, 08/18/2023]

Henry Soulsby, who was a miner before he built the station, is buried in the same Mount Olive cemetery as Mother Jones, the miners' champion.
