We stumbled across this park (well not really - we found out about it on RSA), but we didn't realize it was right under our noses when we got there. It IS a small park, but it's not as peaceful of a sanctuary as the previous submitter has led you to believe. It's in the middle of a fork of sorts right off Dupont Circle.
The plaque at the entrance of this "park" reveals a fitting tribute to the late music star.

And the beat goes on... pause and reflect on the life and achievements of everybody's favorite pop star and Congressman in a pleasant and tiny (read: more than three would be a crowd in this park) park created by a Sonny Bono admirer. A little-known refuge from the crowded streets.
