- From Joshua Tree drive east four miles on CA-62/29 Palms Hwy. Turn north (no stoplight) onto Sunfair Rd. Drive 5.5 miles (the pavement ends when Sunfair Rd becomes Coyote Valley Rd). Pull off on the right shoulder and walk the fenced-in path uphill to the viewing area.

Transmission is the latest large installation by artist Daniel Popper. The giant forms are made of steel, reinforced concrete, and mosaics with a dichroic glass mirror that changes color depending on the viewing angle. She stands 28 feet above the desert floor.
