Some indoor displays, but mostly a decent collection of old military aircraft parked tightly together on a tarmac where you can walk around, touch, and occasionally sit in. You can't ask for much more than that from a small aviation museum.

A small aircraft museum with displays from major museum donors sits in a city airport in western North Carolina. Many volunteers are on hand to guide visitors around the displays. Major aeronautical hardware in an unexpected place -- quite the treat -- including a one-of-a-kind Curtiss XF15C-1 "Stingeree." Half propeller and half jet, it used both during the transition between the two engine types. Only three were built: one crashed, the other was scrapped.
