Ketchikan, Alaska: Thundering Wings
Large cedar wood bald eagle, posed as if diving, painted with Tlingit native icons. Named "Thundering Wings" by carver Nathan Jackson in 1993, who then replaced it with a near-identical eagle in 2016. Locals joke that its upraised butt faces rival city Juneau.
