Definitely worth the stop if going to the Lake George area. Wear sneakers, as there is lots of climbing and wet areas.

[Deborah Austin, 12/20/2007]Billed as the only cave attraction in the Adirondacks, the brochure features their cartoon mascot, a bald caveman clutching a wooden club in one hand and a purple amethyst crystal in the other. The Northeast isn't known for particularly expansive, deep or beautiful caves, and that fact that this tour is "self-guided" betrays a glacially carved passage system that can't can't be particularly deep or even far from a source of daylight. Visitors are encouraged to make up for it by panning for semi-precious minerals, or having a geode custom-sliced in the gift shop.
