Cool place. The ballpark is locked up on non-game days, but you can see plenty!
[Steve Braun, 08/29/2021]This place is a 90% mini replica of Coors Field, complete with corner clock tower and outfield scoreboard, known as All-Star Park. It was built in 1998 and designed by Coors Field's architect, Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum (HOK), named in honor of the Colorado Rockies' all-star game the same year. It includes the major league ballpark's intricate brickwork, with 90-foot base paths, pitcher's mound 60.5 feet from home plate, measuring 330 feet to the foul poles and 374 feet in straightaway center. It cost $2.7 million to build, and was built by the Gold Crown Foundation with help from the Colorado Rockies, Jefferson County Schools, the City of Lakewood and others. Today high schoolers get to play here.
