One of the only legal billboards in Maine, as the state banned and removed billboards in 1978. It was erected by the Great Northern Paper Co. and has stood for decades. On up the road just a bit is the town sign for Kakadjo (population not many). Watch out for moose; you will see many Beware of Moose signs along this isolated road.
